Helping to sustain populations of birds, bats and other species

We specialize in surveying and monitoring populations of birds, bats and other species for for-profit and not-for-profit organizations – with the primary goal of achieving regulatory compliance while simultaneously helping sustain viable populations.

  • We specialize in conducting biological surveys at sites that are logistically challenging.
  • We are as passionate about surveying species as we are about communicating scientific results to all stakeholders.

Collectively, our team has in excess of 100 years cumulative experience in helping clients to reduce potentially adverse environmental impacts and to achieve regulatory compliance.  We have superb strategic skills in competing for bids, expediting environmental permits, avoiding costly environmental litigation and successfully applying cost-effective, state-of-the-art hardware and software techniques.

Our CEO, Dr. Richard Harris Podolsky, is a national authority on the impact of the built environment on wildlife, especially wind power, artificial lighting and big boxes, and skyscrapers.  As a Certified Senior Ecologist, Dr. Podolsky provides clients with all aspects of environmental compliance including but not limited to environmental conservation, natural resource assessments, ecological/environmental restoration, site assessment/site investigations (SA/SI), habitat evaluations, resource conservation and recovery, the Migratory Bird Treaty Act (MBTA), Marine Mammal Protection Act (MMPA), National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), and Endangered Species Act (ESA), particularly Section 7 Consultations pertaining to ESA.
