Restoration & Mitigation

We have worked on many coastal bird restoration/mitigation projects in many places, including Maine, the Galapagos, and Hawaii.

  • 10 years on the restoration of Atlantic Puffins, Roseate, Common and Arctic Terns, and Leach’s Storm-petrels to Maine Islands.

Laysan albatross breeding on Kauai for the first time in 1,500 years.

  • 4 years on the restoration of the Galapagos Petrel on Santa Cruz and Pinta Island in the Galapagos Islands.
  • In Hawaii, we helped to help restore Laysan Albatross to Kauai and Oahu (after a 1,500 year absence).
  • Numerous years on the restoration the critically endangered Hawaiian Petrel and Newell’s Shearwater to many islands in Hawaii.
